Discovery Pay is an integrated payments platform making payments smart, instant, and seamless for you. Discovery Pay incorporates the healthcare provider networks of Discovery Health and fitness facility networks of Vitality with the payment infrastructure of Discovery Bank.

You can instantly settle out-of-pocket medical expenses without the hassle of paperwork or queues, access Discovery Vitality's network of fitness partners on a pay-as-you-go basis with Vitality Pay as you Gym, and simply and quickly pay other Discovery clients using just their cellphone number without having to exchange banking details.

Get Discovery Miles that are more valuable than cash

As a Vitality member, you already earn Discovery Miles when you achieve your weekly Exercise or Drive goals and play the gameboard with Vitality Active Rewards. When you activate your Ðiscovery Account, many of your Vitality Health rewards will switch to being awarded in Discovery Miles - our rewards currency that's more valuable than cash.

You will also unlock the latest enhancement in Vitality Active Rewards with a personalised gameboard, instant rewards and a Spend goal to earn more weekly plays on your gameboard - only available in the Discovery Bank app.

Here's what you need to know

• To activate a Ðiscovery Account you must have a qualifying Discovery product, be 18 years or older and have a South African ID number. Foreigners and foreign nationals are not able to activate a Ðiscovery Account or join Discovery Bank.
• Vitality Health travel benefits are available to Vitality Health Premiums members only. Vitality Active members will receive the same rewards as other Discovery clients with a Ðiscovery Account.
• Discovery Bank clients with a Discovery Bank Transaction Account, Discovery Bank Card Account or Discovery Bank Suite already have access to all the payment features of Discovery Pay and more, with even greater rewards from Vitality Money, and don't need to activate a Ðiscovery Account.
• When you join Discovery Bank, you'll quickly and easily set up a facial ID to authenticate and verify your identity. That way, no one else can have access to your banking app except you.
• While your existing Discovery details will be prepopulated as far as possible during the account activation process, you may need to provide certain details like your ID number again to further verify this information.
