Managing your membership on the Discovery App puts you fully in touch with Engen Medical Benefit Fund, no matter where you are. If your mobile device is with you, so is information about the Fund.

Features on the Discovery App:

• Home view: Your home page shows you all the features of the Discovery App.
• Electronic Card: Your membership card is available electronically as a digital solution to always keeping proof of a membership with you. With a click on the card, you will find your membership details on the back of the card, just as on your physical card.
• Recent interactions: A view of all your recent interactions with the Fund.
• Submit a claim: Submit claims by taking a photo of your claim using your smartphone camera and submit. If your healthcare provider uses QR codes on the claims, you can just scan the code to submit the claim.
• Find a healthcare provider: Find healthcare providers, such as pharmacies and hospitals, specialists, or GPs.
• Hospital authorisations: View your past and upcoming hospital authorisations.

You don't need a physical membership card inside your wallet. Downloading the Discovery app from the Apple iStore, Google Playstore or the Hauwei AppGallery allows you to keep your card on your phone instead. You can use your digital membership card the same way as the physical card. The big difference is that the digital card, like your smartphone, is always with you. Any changes to your membership (like adding a new dependent), reflects immediately on your digital card.

Get your digital membership card

1. Download the Discovery app from Google Play, AppGallery or the App Store.
2. Log in using the same username and password as you use for www.engenmed.co.za
3. Tap on the menu icon (three lines) in the top left corner and scroll down to Digital card(s).
4. Follow the instructions to set up your digital card.
