Special payments from your Medical Savings Account

Please remember that special payments from your Medical Savings Account (MSA) are only allowed for recent claims you have paid yourself and that you submit to the Scheme for a refund.

These out-of-hospital claims:

- Must not be older than four months

- Must be submitted together with your proof of payment

- Must not be for something that is a Scheme exclusion under the Scheme Rules.

If you have already submitted a claim and it has been rejected, you cannot resubmit it for a special payment from your Medical Savings Account.  This is because we have already evaluated it and found that it is not covered by your benefit option or that your benefits were exhausted at the time.
