Annual General Meeting (AGM) - 26 June 2025
Remedi's Annual General Meeting (AGM) took place on Thursday, 26 June 2025. This important event was held in accordance with the Scheme Rules, which require the AGM to be convened by 30 September each year, either physically or virtually.
Facts
The AGM is a vital opportunity for members to gain insight into the performance, governance, and future direction of the Remedi Medical Aid Scheme. It allows main members in good standing (with no arrears in contributions) to:
- Engage directly with the Principal Officer, Board of Trustees, and Administrator
- Ask questions and raise concerns
- Vote on key Scheme matters
According to the Council for Medical Schemes, AGMs are a cornerstone of good governance, ensuring transparency and accountability to members.
What happened at the 2025 AGM
During the AGM, the Chairperson and Trustees presented:
- The audited Annual Financial Statements for the year ending 31 December 2024
- An overview of the Scheme's operational performance
- Strategic insights into the future sustainability of Remedi
