Soccer Park

Discovery aims to enhance people’s lives and our strategy is to make people healthier through our association with sport.

With our initiatives we want to involve professional athletes, families and anyone interested in sport, to get fit and healthier. We are therefore proud to be partners of the new Discovery Soccer Park at the Wanderers Club that was launched in August 2010. With the launch of the Soccer Park, Discovery wants to encourage active, healthier lifestyles while promoting the development of soccer in South Africa. Well-known soccer celebrities like Lucas Radebe, Neil Tovey, Zinedine Zidane, Luis Figo, Patrick Vieira and André Arendse have graced the venue with their presence whilst many other stars continue to visit the facility.

The Discovery Soccer Park is open to the public seven days a week. Vitality members earn points and cashback for getting active. If you are a Vitality member and if you enjoy playing soccer, why not visit the Soccer Park with your colleagues, friends or family? You’ll not only get healthier and be active, but you will also earn 150 Vitality points for a game of soccer a day. Also, if you use your Discovery Card to pay at the restaurant, you will get cashback rewards. All Vitality points earned at the Soccer Park contribute towards the fitness point’s category. The maximum number of fitness points you can earn in a year is a base fitness points of 15 000 for each adult. Vitality really rewards its members when they get fit and healthier! The Discovery Soccer Park also offers individual and group youth coaching sessions during the day.

In 2015, the Walter Sisulu Challenge will be held between the 1st and the 29th of December.
