Surfer’s Challenge

The Discovery Surfers Challenge is a 17.5km race that has become a popular event in East London.

Paddlers, walkers and runners compete against each other for the prestigious winner’s T-shirt. The event focuses on healthy competition, but also gives the whole family a chance to take part in paddling, walking and running.

In 2014, the event took place on 22 February, and over 3 300 people participated in the exhilarating competition. The event also featured junior surfers for kids under 14 years taking part in a 5km race. The race participation for the junior surfers was double last year’s figures.

The 2015 Surfer’s Challenge took place on 14 February. Keep an eye on this page for the date of next year’s event.
